Rotators with Power at ELSE Club in Berlin

Music-reactive installation by Tiziano Mirabella featuring 8 custom LED tubes rotating above the dancefloor.

The multi-talented lighting designer Tiziano Mirabella used 8 DMX Rotators with Power Outlet to create a music-reactive kinetic installation for the renowned nightclub ELSE in Berlin.

The precise 16-bit positioning of the Rotators combined with an advanced TouchDesigner program by Tiziano, enables the setup to detect the BPM of the music being played and react accordingly with great accuracy.

The custom LED tubes are mounted onto the Rotators as seen in the image below:

Tiziano Mirabella shared the following about the project:

"We are proud to present a kinetic lighting installation for Else Club, Berlin, designed to complement its industrial architecture and operate in both daytime and nighttime settings.

For the summer season, the project focuses on advancing and refining a large-scale kinetic installation that can create an organic movement across the dance floor.

The concept integrates dynamic movement with a raw industrial material aesthetic.

Custom 3 m perforated steel tubes were developed with integrated circular fixtures containing three COB RGB LED strips.

Each tube is mounted on Wahlberg rotator motors with a touchless power transmission system for continuous rotation.

All programming was developed in TouchDesigner, operating as an audio-reactive standalone system."
