Technical FAQ

Who is authorized to do the 12- and 48-month recommended inspections?

Any authorized crane-inspector or similar can assist you. They do not need any training or certification from Wahlberg, and we cannot recommend any specialists. It is also important to note that these inspections are recommendations by Wahlberg, not by law.

Do you offer special projects and custom builds?

At Wahlberg, anything is possible. Please contact us to find out more – the more
info you can give on your project in the opening e-mail, the better.

Can I see your products live in-use?

You are welcome to arrange a tour of our premises in Viby J, Denmark.
You are also welcome to visit our Live-Showroom.

Do you offer support?

We offer support both by phone, email and virtual. We also have on occasion offered on-site support. Contact our support e-mail or call us to hear your options.

Do you have any repair partners near me?

Wahlberg does not have any repair partners. You are welcome to ship a product back to us for repair. Contact our support team if you are experiencing issues with a product.

Can you recommend a lighting desk?

We cannot recommend a specific brand. We recommend using one which the
programmer is familiar with. We do recommend a desk with manual faders, fading option and the ability to combine channels to achieve 16-bit positioning but
these are not necessary for the basic use of our products.

Can I use a specific DMX controller?

DMX is a protocol that is independent of the lighting desk or software manufacturer and therefore our devices can be controlled with any “DMX controller”. DMX controllers come in many shapes and therefore we cannot support any specific controller and will advise you to contact the DMX controller manufacturer for any support.

Do you have any certification on your products?

We follow EU-conformity (CE) on all our products.

What is “duty cycle”?

Duty cycle has to do with cooling. Duty cycle of 30 % when running more than 10 min. means the product can go full throttle 10 minutes (when starting cold). Then it can run 30 % of 10 minutes between each pause, which equals running 3,33 min and having 6,66 min pause. This duty cycle is
calculated on full speed/full load, so if you have less speed or load, the duty cycle is increased.

What is the warranty on your products?

We have a 1-year warranty on new products from shipping date. This does not include wear-parts such as the wire on the winches or the internal wheel on the track runner – or other parts which experience a lot of friction.

Do you offer distributor or reseller discounts?

Our price policy is to sell at a fair, flat, and transparent price directly to our customers, and as such we do not offer any reseller discounts.
The price you see on our webpage is the same for everyone.

Do you ship worldwide?

We ship worldwide on both purchase and rental orders. Please contact us for a quote today.

Do you sell flight cases or custom boxes?

Yes – we can supply almost any kind of box according to your specifications. Please contact us today for a quote today.

How do I place an order?

You can either use our web shop for smaller orders of small products, or you can contact us directly for a proforma invoice with banking info.

I can’t place and order on your webshop!

Our webshop is integrated with UPS. Some items are too heavy or too large to ship with UPS, so the web shop will not let you continue with shipping options. Please contact us for a quote on shipping today.

What payment methods are available?

We prefer a bank transfer, but we can also generate a payment link for credit-card (Visa, MasterCard, JCB and Maestro) or you can pay via PayPal. Both credit-card and PayPal option has a 5 % surcharge.

What are your payment terms?

Our payment terms are upfront for international clients. For larger or special orders, we can also offer other payment terms. Contact us to hear your options today.

What shipping options do you offer?

For smaller order, we usually ship with UPS, which has 2-4 transit days. For larger orders, we use a trusted forwarder. Contact us to hear your shipping options today.

Can I facilitate shipping myself?

You are more than welcome to pick up your products at our warehouse yourself or through a forwarder. We use trusted forwarders for our shipments, so we can always guarantee our customers the cheapest and safest shipping options.

Is the product and quantity I require in stock?

Most of our standard products are continuously manufactured and usually in stock. Contact us for a current stock check and lead time on your required products today.

Can I purchase any outlet, demo, or rental products?

We sometimes offer to purchase ex-rental versions at a discount. These are fully functioning and tested but will have some minor cosmetic damage. We offer 6 months warranty on outlet products. Please contact us for an offer today.
