Barrier Bars 2023
52 of our Winch 10 were utilized in the creation of this stunning artwork by SpY Studios resulting in a long, fluid choreography where the rigid elements transform into a captivating array of patterns, ranging from geometric to fractal.
The kinetic sculpture "Barrier Bars" was crafted using two Wahlberg Winch 10 units for each bar, paired with the versatile DMX control system. This system allows for simple programming of endless possibilities of patterns and movements.
The artwork is described as offering a nuanced reinterpretation of a common urban feature, drawing intriguing parallels to both natural and digital imagery.
Barrier Bars was unveiled by SpY Studios as part of the Industrial Art exhibition in 2023.
