Wahlberg Motion Design is a creative company devoted to the invention, design and production of specialized technical solutions for theatre- and dance-companies, artists’ installations, promotion events, advertising and solo-artists.

Our background is in the entertainment industry and we have developed a series of unique products that solve many of the daily challenges in the stage area. Products we continously develop in order to strengthen the quality and the specific needs of our individual clients from all over the world.

The creative solution for your next unique show

It all started with a tiny robot workshop in downtown Aarhus, where electronics and mechanics fused with bare metal into art installations that brought the smiles out at concerts and theatrical events in Denmark.

Today Wahlberg Motion Design is a manufacturing company that supplies solutions to the world’s entertainment business, as ever headed by entrepreneur and inventor Mads Wahlberg. Our specialty is motion design. We build winches that can raise curtains, lamps, and props to hang above fair halls and similar events. We create track systems so that the lights move fast across opera houses and theater stages.

Made in Denmark - International reach

Our products are resonating around the globe. Canadian rapper Drake toured Europe, Australia and the USA using 788 of our winches in the Boy Meets the World tour, each of the Wahlberg winches connected to LED-spheres, resulting in a spectacular kinetic installation moving above Drake and the audience.

The Wahlberg winches have been operating In Houston, Texas, in connection with the official VIP events preceding the Super Bowl 2017, events where the great football icons and the NFL management get together to watch a show performed by famous stars.

Spanish superstar Miguel Bosé toured the Americas and Europe on his Gira Estaré with a series of specially designed track runners synchronizing the movements of several moving head lights.

Also, in the portfolio are Jean-Michel Jarre’s Electronica Tour, BMW’s Centenary Celebration and the European Song Contest 2015. Furthermore, we have worked on exciting projects with national talent connected to European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017, Aarhus Theater, Moesgaard Museum, the National Danish Girls’ Choir, the Skanderborg Music Festival and others.

We are in daily contact with production companies and lighting designers worldwide, meeting their needs and demands for technical solutions to create magic in the tour, show or trade fair coming up.

Our entire product range is Made in Denmark, and over the years our brand name has been established internationally, leading to export figures of 95% of our production.
